A security mesh on your windows keeps intruders out while still letting you open the window for fresh air. Crimsafe is a made-to-measure stainless steel security mesh that also works as an insect screen.

How is it different from an insect screen?
An ordinary fly screen is made of fibre and tears easily. Crimsafe mesh is 0.9 mm grade 304 structural stainless steel, fixed to the frame with the Screw-Clamp® system, and designed to withstand impacts, crowbar attacks and knife cuts.
Types of window security mesh
- Fixed: ideal for children’s rooms and windows you rarely open.
- Hinged: opens like a door, with a handle or a quick-escape bar; the Safe-S-Cape version opens from inside without a key.
- Sliding: for single or multi-panel windows, fitted inside or outside.
Safety for children
Fixed screens let you leave the window open for fresh air and remove the risk of falls. See also invisible bars.
Is it the same as a child safety mesh?
As well as preventing falls, Crimsafe is designed to resist forced entry.
Can I still open the window?
Yes. Hinged and sliding screens open; with fixed screens you can open the window from inside while the mesh stays closed.
What colour is it?
The mesh is black, which cuts glare; the frame comes in a range of colours to match your windows.
